Wart and verruca clinic

This clinic is held by one of our nurses on a Thursday afternoon monthly between 5pm and 6pm.

We are able to treat warts and verrucas that are causing problems. We do not recommend treating warts or verrucas that are not causing trouble since they usually go away of their own accord when your body fights them with antibodies against the virus that causes them. (The average life of a wart or verruca is about 2 years).

Contrary to what some people believe, it is OK to go swimming with a verruca. (Even though they are infectious, stopping people swimming does not stop other people getting them!)

If you have problematic verruca or wart you will need to see a doctor first, to decide whether it is a wart, and whether it is worth treating. If so then an appointment will be made for you. It is not possible for patients to refer themselves to this clinic
